The 2027 Genesis G70 is losing its twin-turbo V6. Genesis has confirmed that its compact sport sedan will offer only the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, with a revised trim lineup and a starting price of $45,345 including destination.
That makes this more than a routine model-year price adjustment for shoppers considering a G70. Some equipment moves down the lineup, while other features disappear. The official photos here show the 2026 Prestige Graphite; equipment on the 2027 model differs as described below.
The 2027 Genesis G70 becomes four-cylinder only

The biggest change in Genesis’s official 2027 model-year update is the removal of the 3.3T engine. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive remain available with the 2.5T, but Prestige Graphite is now AWD only.
For context, Genesis rates the existing 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder at 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Those are the carryover powertrain’s published figures on the G70 consumer page, which still identifies the car as a 2026 model. The 2027 announcement confirms the engine choice but does not publish revised output figures.
The practical shopping distinction is simple: selecting a Sport or Graphite trim no longer brings the V6. Buyers specifically seeking that engine will need to look at earlier model years.
New trim choices and prices include destination

The seven configurations range from the base rear-drive car to Prestige Graphite AWD. These prices include Genesis’s $1,445 destination charge, before taxes, options and other fees:
- 2.5T RWD: $45,345.
- 2.5T AWD: $47,245.
- 2.5T Sport Advanced RWD: $48,695.
- 2.5T Sport Advanced AWD: $50,695.
- 2.5T Sport Prestige RWD: $52,245.
- 2.5T Sport Prestige AWD: $54,245.
- 2.5T Prestige Graphite AWD: $55,245.
AWD adds $1,900 to the base car and $2,000 to either Sport trim. Comparing equipment matters as much as comparing trim names because the 2027 packages have changed.
More standard charging, fewer premium features

Wireless device charging becomes standard. Sport Advanced and higher trims receive a dark chrome grille, Sport aluminum trim and alloy pedals. Sport leather is available on Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige.
There are also deletions. Every 2027 G70 has a manual trunk, replacing the power-trunk option previously offered on 3.3T models. Electronically controlled suspension is no longer available. Prestige Graphite retains Nappa leather but switches from a microfiber suede headliner to cloth.
Those changes deserve attention on a test drive and an equipment checklist. The top trim’s familiar name does not mean it reproduces the previous V6 model’s hardware.
A familiar compact sedan, with different finishes

Genesis calls the 2027 G70 a carryover model. For size reference, the current five-seat sedan measures 184.4 inches long, 72.8 inches wide and 55.1 inches tall, with a 111.6-inch wheelbase. The model-year announcement does not describe a body redesign or a change in those dimensions.
Rear model, engine and drivetrain badges are removed. Kawah Blue, Cavendish Red and Vatna Gray leave the paint selection. Beige upholstery is limited to the base RWD and AWD configurations, while Fog Gray becomes available on Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige.
The result is a narrower powertrain choice with a reshuffled equipment ladder. If you want the G70’s compact footprint and a four-cylinder engine, there are still several configurations to compare. If the V6 or adaptive suspension was the attraction, the 2027 changes materially alter that decision.
