The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Upland puts all-terrain tires, tow hooks and upgraded upholstery into a package starting below $50,000. It gives shoppers another option between the entry Laredo and the returning Trailhawk and Overland.

Jeep announced the 2027 Grand Cherokee lineup on August 12, 2026, with dealer arrivals planned for late 2026. The Laredo Upland adds some trail-oriented equipment and upgraded upholstery without reaching the price of the returning Trailhawk or Overland.

The announced range includes Laredo, Laredo X, Laredo Altitude, Laredo Upland, Limited, Limited Altitude, Limited Reserve and Summit. Trailhawk and Overland are listed with late availability. Upland is a separate choice; the similar styling does not mean it carries every feature of those more expensive models.

The Upland’s exterior changes start with 18-inch Trailhawk-inspired wheels and 265/60R18 all-terrain tires. A Trailhawk-inspired front fascia adds Vapor Gray tow hooks, while a body-color roof and dark neutral gray accents complete the package.

Inside, Capri leatherette and suede seats in Global Black give the cabin a different finish from the lower Laredo models. The package pairs these comfort and appearance changes with hardware aimed at light off-road use. Buyers tackling more demanding trails should compare the actual four-wheel-drive and suspension equipment against the Trailhawk, rather than judging capability from the wheels alone.

Hurricane 4 power comes standard

The Laredo Upland uses the 2.0-liter turbocharged Hurricane four-cylinder, rated at 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The entry Laredo and Laredo X retain the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, while Laredo Altitude and higher use the turbocharged four-cylinder in the announced 2027 lineup.

The announced U.S. starting price for the Laredo Upland is $49,990 with four-wheel drive, including destination. The entry rear-wheel-drive Laredo starts at $41,515. These are announcement prices, before options, taxes and registration.

Jeep listed the Trailhawk at $54,995 and Overland at $57,895, also including destination. That puts Upland $5,005 below Trailhawk and $7,905 below Overland at their respective starting prices.

For someone who wants all-terrain tires, tow hooks and upgraded seat materials, the Upland offers a lower starting point. The decision still comes down to the equipment needed for your driving: the lowest price is only useful if the vehicle has the capability and comfort features you intend to use.
