The 2027 Nissan Z NISMO adds the transmission enthusiasts have been asking for: a six-speed manual. Nissan has paired that choice with a stronger clutch, shorter shift stroke and specific engine tuning, while updating the brakes and chassis around it.

The price is now confirmed, too. A Z NISMO costs $68,585 including the $1,325 destination charge, whether buyers choose the new manual or the nine-speed automatic. The wider Z lineup also gets meaningful changes for 2027, from a fresh nose to revised fuel delivery under hard cornering.

What is different about the NISMO manual

The manual joins the existing automatic in NISMO, completing a three-trim lineup in which Sport, Performance and NISMO each offer both transmissions. Nissan says the NISMO manual has an upgraded clutch compared with Sport and Performance, plus a different shift-lever ratio that shortens the shift stroke.

Engine calibration also changes for the manual. Nissan revised throttle and ignition control to sharpen response and sustain torque delivery. Output remains 420 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6; choosing the manual does not bring a higher advertised power rating.

Nissan also retuned the sound-enhancement and noise-cancellation systems for this version. Those are distinct from the mechanical clutch and shifter changes, although both affect the experience from the driver’s seat.

GT-R-derived brakes bring related chassis changes

The 2027 NISMO receives two-piece front brake rotors with iron and aluminum construction derived from the GT-R. Nissan says the design saves 19 pounds in total and uses improved cooling channels to reduce brake-pad temperatures during track driving.

The suspension and electric power steering were retuned to account for the change in front-end mass and damper behavior. That makes the update more involved than fitting a new set of rotors: the components that control wheel movement and steering response were adjusted together.

The brakes and chassis revisions are NISMO updates, while the manual is an added transmission choice. Buyers choosing the automatic still get the revised NISMO hardware described in Nissan’s 2027 announcement.

Sport and Performance get their own updates

The regular Z Sport and Performance have a restyled bumper and grille with a body-color bar across the opening and a Z emblem on the nose. Nissan revised the shape and ducting to manage cooling airflow and reduce aerodynamic lift and drag.

Performance adds redesigned forged 19-inch wheels, an available tan interior and larger-diameter monotube dampers. A new Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic finish, paired with a black roof, gives buyers another exterior choice. Performance and NISMO also offer Qi2 wireless charging with magnetic alignment, a cooling fan and up to 15 watts of output.

One useful mechanical change reaches every trim: a redesigned fuel tank intended to keep fuel around the pump during sustained high-G cornering. Nissan says that helps maintain consistent fuel delivery and engine performance when the car is driven hard on a track.

Prices, power and basic dimensions

With destination included, the 2027 Z Sport starts at $45,805, Performance at $55,805 and NISMO at $68,585. Manual and automatic versions have the same starting price within each trim. Options, taxes and other fees are extra.

Sport and Performance produce 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, compared with NISMO’s 420 horsepower and 384 pound-feet. All use a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, rear-wheel drive and premium unleaded fuel. The two-seat coupe has a 100.4-inch wheelbase and measures 173.2 inches long and 51.8 inches tall.

NISMO’s $12,780 premium over Performance buys a broader package of engine, suspension, braking and aerodynamic equipment. For buyers who specifically want a manual, 2027 removes the need to choose between that gearbox and the top Z trim. The official Nissan Z press kit includes the updated specifications and July pricing table.
