Mopar has just released its first teaser for the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and while we can only see a small amount of detail, we can tell that it’s teasing the debut of the Mopar 27 version of the Dodge Charger. We don’t have any other details, but based on past Mopar vehicles, we can make some educated guesses. We can also dream about what could be in store for the horsepower junkies if the Mopar management hierarchy has gotten to work its magic on the Dodge Charger Mopar 27.

The first Mopar teaser for the 2026 SEMA Show shows a nameplate that says Mopar 27. Although the picture is tightly cropped, this is clearly the passenger-side nameplate on the dashboard of the current Dodge Charger. In the electric models, this plate says Daytona. In the SixPack models, it says Charger, and in the new Super Bee, it says Super Bee. With this Charger nameplate saying Mopar 27, it’s clear that the Mopar-branded vehicle program is returning after a few years off, likely in the form of a limited-edition package for the modern Dodge muscle car.

Dodge used the 2025 SEMA Show to feature a modified Charger SixPack Scat Pack with some basic upgrades to the Hurricane engine, along with a broader range of exterior modifications that really bulked up the look of the car. Seeing as how Mopar has already shown off a new Charger SixPack Scat Pack with exterior upgrades, you would think the company would try to go a bit bigger at the 2026 SEMA Show.

Of course, Mopar could showcase a Hurricane-powered Charger with some serious power upgrades that would push output well beyond the Super Bee’s 600 horsepower. But you know what would really steal the show at SEMA?

I get that we’re really reaching for the stars with this idea, but there’s no question that a Hemi-powered Dodge Charger would grab more attention at SEMA than literally anything else.

It doesn’t have to be the supercharged Hellcat Hemi — it could be any Hemi. Many past Mopar-branded vehicles have been powered by either the 5.7-liter or 6.4-liter Hemi V8, so it would make sense for the Mopar 27 to pack Hemi power, too. Also, what better place for Ma Mopar to roll out a new Hemi-powered production Charger than a convention focused heavily on high performance?

Of course, the elephant in the room is that no such Hemi-powered Dodge Charger exists yet. But keep in mind that we’re talking about a 2027 model-year vehicle. We’ve previously reported that the SRT Hellcat version of the new Dodge Charger is slated to arrive in late 2027, but what if a naturally aspirated Hemi model debuted before that?

If Dodge plans to offer the new Charger with a Hemi other than the Hellcat, combining it with the Mopar 27 package would create a unique, limited-edition collectible that would almost certainly sell out — because Hemi!

Realistically, the odds are good that the Mopar 27 will be a variation of the Dodge Charger SixPack. However, reports suggest that Hemi-powered models are coming, and Dodge has to start introducing them sooner or later. Perhaps the 2026 SEMA Show will bring us the long-awaited news of a new Charger with a V8. Even if it isn’t a Hellcat, the people will rejoice.

New Location for Mopar

The biggest news for Mopar and Stellantis is that the company’s display is moving to West Hall after spending decades in South Hall. There didn’t seem to be any downsides to the previous location, and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious advantage to moving to West Hall, so it’s unclear why the company is making the change. However, Mopar fans who have attended SEMA in past years will have to find the display in a new area, in an entirely different part of the convention center.
