The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition has the kind of acceleration that immediately gets a reviewer’s attention. With 600 horsepower, massaging seats and a substantial collection of screens, it takes Jeep into luxury electric-SUV territory. The details in the cabin tell a more complete story than the power figure alone.

In Pickup Truck + SUV Talk’s 2025 Wagoneer S video, presenter Jim walks through the Launch Edition’s equipment and shares his impressions. This staff adaptation covers that 2025 vehicle, including the seat comfort, passenger-screen glare and liftgate behavior shown in the video.

Six hundred horsepower changes the Jeep experience

The Launch Edition uses a dual-motor electric powertrain rated at 600 horsepower and 617 pound-feet of torque. Jeep advertises a 0-to-60-mph time of 3.4 seconds. The acceleration clip in the video makes the urgency clear, but it is not presented as an instrumented verification of that exact time.

Jim’s reaction to the acceleration was enthusiastic. The sudden surge is a big part of the Launch Edition’s personality, and the video captures how different this electric crossover feels from the traditional Jeep image. Buyers drawn to that performance should also look at how the rest of the vehicle fits their everyday use.

The design also reflects a different set of priorities from a traditional, upright Jeep. Flush door handles, a tapering roofline and the open rear spoiler emphasize airflow. The illuminated seven-slot front treatment retains a recognizable brand cue, while the overall shape looks more like a road-focused luxury crossover.

The Launch Edition puts its money into comfort

Jim was particularly positive about the massaging front seats, describing the massage as one of the cabin features he enjoyed most. The reviewed vehicle also had synthetic-leather upholstery and a suede-style headliner, giving the cabin a more upscale feel than the familiar image of a basic trail Jeep.

The 19-speaker, 1,200-watt McIntosh audio system stood out in the walkaround. Jim liked its sound, although the video was not an audio measurement or a controlled comparison with other luxury systems. It is a useful feature to audition yourself rather than choose on speaker count alone.

These are also reasons to compare equipment carefully when shopping a Launch Edition against a Limited. The appeal is the package of power and comfort features together. The video’s discussion of trim differences should not be treated as a guarantee that every used example has identical options or that the same price gap still applies.

More screens do not eliminate everyday annoyances

The Wagoneer S has separate displays for the driver, infotainment, climate controls and front passenger. Jim demonstrated the lower climate screen and the passenger display during the review. The arrangement creates a technology-heavy dashboard, but the passenger screen was not easy to see in the light he encountered.

He increased its brightness and still pointed out substantial glare. The screen is designed to limit what the driver can see from the driving position, but that privacy function does not make reflections disappear for the passenger. The practical takeaway is to check the display from the passenger seat in daylight, not only while parked inside a showroom.

Jim also could not get the hands-free liftgate function to operate during the demonstration and said he would try again later. That is an observation from this video, not proof of a widespread defect or a long-term reliability finding. Small convenience features deserve a hands-on check precisely because they can matter more in daily use than a headline horsepower figure.

Check the range assumptions and the actual sticker

Jeep’s 2025 Wagoneer S information lists up to 294 miles of manufacturer-estimated range for Launch Edition models and an estimated 20-to-80-percent DC charging time of about 23 minutes under the stated conditions. Those are advertised figures; the video does not include a measured range or charging test. Temperature, speed, battery condition and the charger can change the experience.

The video showed a useful rear cargo area, and Jim was pleasantly surprised by its size. That gives buyers something practical to consider alongside the acceleration and luxury equipment. Bring the luggage, stroller or other bulky items you normally carry when evaluating whether the shape and access suit your needs.

The window sticker shown in the video totaled $72,790, including destination. That is the reviewed vehicle’s sticker, not today’s transaction price. Jim also discussed a later price adjustment, which is another reason to compare the actual vehicle and written offer rather than rely on the video’s old trim-price gap.

The Launch Edition makes a strong case for someone who wants quick acceleration and a richly equipped cabin in an electric SUV. Its screen glare and the liftgate demonstration also show why a test drive should include the ordinary tasks. The most useful buying decision comes from checking those details alongside charging needs and price.
