The 2027 Genesis GV60 lineup draws a clearer line between an everyday luxury EV and its performance flagship. Regular versions offer 225 or 314 horsepower, while the separate GV60 Magma reaches a temporary 641 hp in Boost Mode.
Shoppers should also look beyond the new trim names. Some equipment moves higher in the range, and the longest-range version is the least expensive one.
Power, range and size favor different priorities

Genesis lists three regular versions on its 2027 U.S. model page. The single-motor RWD produces 225 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque, with an EPA-estimated 306-mile range. The dual-motor AWD delivers 314 hp and 446 pound-feet, with 282 miles of estimated range on its 19-inch wheels.
Prestige AWD keeps that output but uses 20-inch wheels and carries a 267-mile estimate. That is a 39-mile difference from the RWD model. Those are trim-specific EPA estimates, not a promise for every trip; weather, speed and charging habits matter.
The regular GV60 seats five and measures 178.9 inches long, 74.4 inches wide and 62.4 inches tall, with a 114.2-inch wheelbase. Genesis specifies an 84-kWh battery, 800-volt architecture and a built-in NACS charging port. The compact exterior dimensions help explain its city-friendly appeal.
Prestige gets the roof, Magma gets Boost

The official model-year update replaces the previous Standard, Advanced and Performance naming with RWD, AWD, Prestige AWD and Magma. For the regular lineup, the Vision Roof and roof rails are restricted to Prestige.
Boost Mode, the electronic limited-slip differential and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 move to Magma exclusively. Ceres Blue joins the paint choices, while Mauna Red and Capri Blue disappear. Genesis also drops rear model and powertrain badging. A familiar-looking GV60 therefore needs a fresh equipment comparison before you choose a trim.
Magma is a separate performance proposition

According to the U.S. Magma announcement, its dual motors produce approximately 600 hp normally, with up to 641 hp and 583 pound-feet available temporarily in Boost Mode. Do not confuse that peak figure with continuous output.
Magma adds 21-inch forged wheels, performance bucket seats, aerodynamic changes, launch control and a virtual gearshift system. Its wider, lower stance also means the regular GV60 dimensions above should not be treated as Magma specifications. Genesis announced an initial launch through select retailers in California, New York and New Jersey; shoppers elsewhere should check local availability.
2027 GV60 prices start at $47,795 delivered

The RWD starts at $46,250 before destination, followed by AWD at $49,950 and Prestige AWD at $57,500. Adding the listed $1,545 destination charge brings those starting totals to $47,795, $51,495 and $59,045. Magma starts at $69,950, or $71,495 with destination. Taxes, registration, options and retailer fees are extra.
Our pick on paper is RWD for shoppers prioritizing range and price. AWD adds traction and power; Prestige makes sense when its cabin equipment matters more to you. Magma deserves its own test drive rather than an automatic upgrade decision based on horsepower.
